Hey guys! I've finally uploaded my section of the NGTV Summer Bash collab! I was originally going to make a full-blown animated video about my experience, but I found myself more comfortable making a regular blog post. Better late than never!

So as the title says, this was my first ever NG meetup and I was NERVOUS! I honestly thought this was gonna feel like me infringing on a huge friend group. As soon as I entered the center (after going through some horrible traffic), I immediately felt differently. So many people in one place that loved art and animation as much as I do! From then on, it was mainly getting and giving signatures, taking photos, and giving out my stickers!

As for the screening, it was pretty funny seeing the first animation play over and over with no sound while the crowd cheered loudly. After that was fixed, I was treated to a bunch of gorgeous, crazy, creative pieces! It reminded me of why I love animation so much in the first place; there are no limits or rules! I opted to stay upstairs after the intermission because the sound was getting to me. After watching the Satina baseball short (I love Satina!), I turned around to walk away...and saw Hannah Daigle standing pretty much right next to me! What I love about these events, and what I discovered about Newgrounds, is that we all can come together based on our interests no matter our skill level or popularity. Everyone is here to celebrate the same thing, and it was easy for me to forget that due to my own nervousness.

Overall, I had a great time! I wish I could've gotten to know many more people, but that's a bit unrealistic for my first meetup. I can't wait for the next one; I have plenty of sketches and stickers to give!! <3
